Lobular pneumonia (pneumonia lobare) 400x
Some macrophages can be seen in the alveoli. Congestion can be seen in the alveolisepta (arrowhead) and fibrous fibrin-network in the alveoli is also seen (arrows). Lobar pneumonia differs from bronchopneumonia in such a way that inflammation infiltrate is diffuse whereas in bronchopneumonia inflammation infiltrate is centered focally around the bronchi. In addition, alveolar fibrin is typical to pneumonia lobaris. 400x magnification, HE-staining.
