Tubulovillous adenoma (adenoma tubulovillosum)
This sample is a piece of wall from the large intestine. Elongated villous structures are visible. In the
epithelium of villi nuclei are often multi-layered. Both villotic and tubular structures (arrows) can be
seen and these findings fit the adenoma tubulovillosum with mild
dysplasia. There are also inflammatory cells between
tubuli in lamina propria (arrewheads). 40x magnification, HE-staining.
