The basement membrane of epithelium in the bronchi has become thicker. In the submucosa there is inflammatory cell infiltration, especially eosinophils (circle). The amount of glands secreting mucus in submucosa has increased and smooth muscle walls in the bronchi are hypertrophied (#). 200x magnification, HE-staining.
